ArtsNewsMar2021.jpg

The mural was featured on the cover of ArtsNews March 2021 edition, and the Village of Sleepy Hollow is mentioned on page 9 for winning this year's Community Award. Thanks to all involved in realizing the Wishing Wall, including some Kendal on Hudson residents.

SAVE THE DATE + CELEBRATE

On Wednesday, April 7, at 6 pm a virtual celebration can be viewed at artsw.org/artsaward

Every year, leaders from Westchester’s arts and business community gather to celebrate the stellar accomplishments of ArtsWestchester’s Arts Award Honorees at an event that recognizes artists, cultural organizations, educators and civic leaders who enrich the cultural life of the County, its communities and its citizens.

HAPPY TO SHARE

Edge-on-Hudson confirmed that the Wishing Wall will now remain up at least through mid 2022. We are excited to announce this extension.  When we undertook the project we knew it would only be temporary since the wall will be removed eventually to make way for an amazing riverfront public park.  Nevertheless, we are happy to have the mural around longer than originally anticipated for all to keep enjoying.

Tim Grajek edited a wonderful four-minute video, summarizing and showcasing the Wishing Wall. One scene from his film is shown above. The film can be viewed here. If you haven't seen it already, please check it out and share!

If you would like to share with someone "How to Visit the Wishing Wall - Riverwalk Community Mural" we've created a pdf that can be viewed on issuu. It includes aerial views, a map, instructions and estimated distances for how to arrive by foot, bike, train, bus or car.
