Ode to a Magical Sculpture

Photo, poem, and art by Sheila Benedis

Ode to a Magical Sculpture

a combination of imagery and text

imbedded

In a woven structure

with one permutation

a poem

poetry and collage

cut up

intervention with intention

my meditative labor

on an interwoven sculpture

content hidden beneath the surface

poem submerged moves

waves in the layers

floating

twisting and turning

not necessarily legible

meaning magically unfolds

the poem revealed in your imagination

inspiration invites the viewer

 engage in dialog

make sense of the world
