Kendal is especially aware of the need for help that those with sight and/or hearing problems have.
KoH residents have donated more than 1,000 pairs of glasses and cases to Eyes for the Needy. Amelia Augustus, who is involved in this activity, says we we should try to reach this kind of a goal for hearing aids by donating unneeded ones to Hearing Now. If necessary, this non-profit organization also repairs hearing aids to ensure their usefulness before distributing them.
