The hard-working Trips Committee under the more than able chairperson of Jan Myers announced a new trip.

On Wednesday, July 10, there will be a group visiting The Frick Collection, New York. They will explore this jewel of a museum and its new exhibition on “Tiepolo in Milan,” ceiling frescoes of a palazzo painted in 1730-31 and destroyed by World War II bombing.

These “lost frescoes” are recalled by five preparatory paintings and drawings and by black-and-white photos of the frescoes from 1897 to the late l930s.

Other exhibits feature “Elective Affinities,” contemporary ceramic sculptures of Edmund de Waal installed amid art masterpieces and furnishings in the galleries; “Whistler as a Printmaker,” 15 prints and a pastel; and French Faience.
