Old Game - New Group
If you're interested in learning or playing Mah Jong, an old tabletop game played with tiles (see picture above), a group of Kendal Mah Jongers would love to hear from you.
Contact either Susan Lichten or Arlene Mervis. The group plays Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4:30. No prior knowledge of Chinese needed.

The only requirements are that you are able to use a MAC or PC computer and that you have a desire to be an Editor.

Digital Help Session
Back by popular demand, the Computer Committee will sponsor another Digital Help Session on Saturday, January 14th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Residents can sign up for help in their apartments or bring their charged smart phone, tablet or laptop plus a power cord and, of course, the proper password to the Residents Association Office.

The First World War and Pat Barker: A New Seminar
Pat Barker's Regeneration Trilogy is the subject of Bill McFeeley's new seminar. The sessions will take place on four Thursdays, Jan 26, Feb. 2, 9, & 16 at 11:15 AM. There will be limited enrollment. A course description will be available on Tuesday Jan. 10 with sign-up sheets available in the Trips Area on Jan. 13.
Memorial Services
The Annual Memorial Service remembering the residents who died during 2016 will be held on Monday evening, January 16th at 7:30 PM in the Gathering Room.
A Memorial Mass for the late Fran Keegan will be held on Saturday, January 14th at the Chapel of the Sisters of Divine Compassion, 52 North Broadway, White Plains, NY

Trips!
A new trip to the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in NYC is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017.
The tour is self-guided touches on contemporary various facets of American crafts.
There is a gift shop plus optional prix fixe lunch of contemporary American Cuisine at the well regarded Robert which overlooks Central park.
And...don't forget the January 11 trip to the Gordon parks Foundation in Pleasantville. There is still space available.

On six Tuesdays starting January 3, Susan Grunthal will lead a History of Opera Course. There is still space available. Sign up sheets are in the usual place opposite the Computer Room.
