Dear Clearwater Residents, Family & Friends,
I am providing notice of one (1) additional COVID-positive staff member with primary duties as a caregiver in Clearwater. This individual last worked in the Clearwater neighborhood on Tuesday, January 4. This staff member will isolate at home, returning to work in accordance with Kendal policy and CDC/NYS return to work guidance.
We continue to be in touch with our Department of Health epidemiologist and take all precautions to mitigate the introduction and spread of COVID at Kendal. We also continue to proactively test residents for COVID and exercise great caution in following infection control best practices: proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emphasis on cleaning/sanitation.
The Visitation Program remains open. Please assist us in maintaining a healthful environment for all residents and staff by continuing to wear your mask during visits (a requirement by CMS based on current COVID transmission rates), practicing good hand washing and maintaining social distancing as much as possible. Remember that all visitors to Kendal should be entering through the main lobby and complete a COVID screening form prior to visiting Clearwater. If you are feeling under the weather, please delay your visit for another time and contact our Recreation Department at 914-922-1041 to request a virtual visit with your loved one(s).
