The acronym stands for the Patient Information Extension, a resident volunteer telephone service created to inform residents about those of us who unexpectedly are taken to Clearwater, Phelps, Westchester Medical Center or White Plains Hospital. Dial extension 3333 to reach a recording that gives you the patient’s name, location and phone number. A printed copy is posted on the bulletin board in the main hall.
