Roger Lowenstein, (son of resident Helen Lowenstein), a prominent financial writer and journalist, is the author of seven books, including three New York Times bestsellers: Buffett, When Genius Failed, and The End of Wall Street. His work has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Fortune, and many other publications. Mr. Lowenstein will give a lecture at Kendal.
The topic of his November 26 talk is: “Buffett: The Making of an American Capitalist.” The event will take place in the Gathering Room at 7:30 pm.
A graduate of Cornell University, Mr. Lowenstein was on the staff of The Wall Street Journal from 1979 to 1997. His most recent book is: America’s Bank: The Epic Struggle to Create the Federal Reserve. He currently is writing a book on Lincoln's economics during the Civil War.
