Kendal will offer a new course in January. It will be based on Jill Lepore’s new book, These Truths.
It is an old-fashioned textbook but one livelier than we remember them to be. The course will reach from the 16th century to our Civil War, but with prime attention to the founding of the republic. There will be a lot to cover in 4 meetings, but with Kendal’s own former Pulitzer Prize winner Bill McFeely leading it, it should be fascinating
The course will be offered on four Fridays, January 4, 11, 18, 25 at 10:30 in the Residents Office.
It will be limited to 15 members who are expected to read the book in advance. A Sign-up sheet will be available in the Activities Alcove Thursday, December 6.
Hint: Sign up ASAP. Bill’s courses fill up very quickly.
