The ever hard-working Trips Committee announced a new excursion for Wednesday, January 16.
It will be to the Katonah Museum of Art in Katonah and will feature a Docent tour of “Outrageous Ornament: Extreme Jewelry in the 21st Century,” 50 bold and innovative works by internationally renowned artists that reimagine the traditional boundaries of body adornment. Curated by Jane Adlin, former curator of modern and contemporary design at the Met, the objects were created by both traditional jewelers and individuals in art, architecture, fashion and design in a variety of materials.
They also wish you to know that there is a short wait list for the January 9 trip to the Frick.
