Our "out of the box" thinking Trips Committee has come up with another great adventure in NYC. This one is to the newly opened Georgia O'Keeffe "Visions of Hawaii" at the New York Botanical Garden. The exhibit focuses on the artist's immersion in Hawaii in 1939 with little known paintings of flowers and landscapes in the Mertz Library.
While at the NYBG there will be an opportunity to view a short film, poetry and contemporary art. In addition, there is a short tram ride to see the Azalea Garden.
It will take place on Wednesday, May 23. Sign up in the Activities Alcove. Haste is necessary as this trip will fill up quickly.
