The Trips Committee announced a new trip scheduled for Wednesday, May 6th.
The Teatown Lake Reservation next door to us in Ossining will be the location. Our group will get a guided tour of Wildflower Island's more than 230 species of native and endangered wildflowers incluing lady's slippers, orchids, trillium and wild columbine. Teatown contains three beautiful lakes on its 1,000-acre nature preserve.
Jan Myers, the Trips Committee's Chair promises that the frigid weather of March and April will be long gone by May 16th. Sign up for the trip is in the Activities Alcove. She also advises that there are short waiting lists for the April 18th Katonah Museum of Art excursion and the May 9th Wave Hill (Bronx) trip.
