As an Archivist at the Alabama Department of Archives and History, he visited every county courthouse as part of a team that developed records management guidance for local governments across Alabama. Tom is also proud of his service as a local government historian, serving as the Deputy City Historian for his hometown of Gloversville, NY in the late 1970s through 1983.
