The June 5th Kendalabra gave a warning about Coronavirus scams.
It has come to our attention that one resident received a call about problems with her Social Security card, and upon calling the Social Security Administration was told that such scams were prevalent at the moment.
Others were asked to renew services they hadn’t requested or to contact banks they do not have accounts with. It is important not only to hang up or not return such calls but also to carefully check bank and credit card statements to ensure there are no unauthorized withdrawals/charges.
