Anne White, the Treasurer of the Kendal Residents Association, is also a talented poet. She recently greeted the Residents Council Meeting with some thoughts about the slight loosening of the restrictions which Kendal has been following since the arrival of the Coronavirus.

Stay safe, stay well, stay out of trouble
As we emerge from our Kendal bubble.
Yay, Hooray! Today we welcome visitors
— the first time since March 20th .
But don’t be lazy. Everyone must
wear a mask and stay six feet away!
Sorry, outside only and no more than four.
That will keep us out of trouble
As we slowly, carefully expand exposure
to the world beyond our Kendal bubble.
