Town Supervisor Fulgenzi sent the following message to residents of Mount Pleasant:
As we battle coronavirus together, tracing exposure to COVID is important to halt its spread. The NYS Contact Tracing Program uses trained specialists to reach out to confirmed positive COVID-19 individuals to determine their contacts.
If you have been identified as a contact, you will receive a call from NYS Contact Tracing (518-387-9993). Because the disease can be transmitted by those without symptoms, notifying people about possible exposure is critical.
If you get this call, please respond as requested. Information will be kept confidential and private. He also warns us that scammers make take advantage, so be on the alert for scams that do not come from “NYS Contact Tracing.”
