Does your food sometimes taste bland? Maria Harris suggests that we take a sprig of basil, parsley, chives, or any other herb from the orange container in the Lounge (next to the newspapers), or visit the Herb Garden on the Terrace. Chop or use whole, add to your sandwich, entrée, salad, tea . . . creating a gourmet experience!

Cooking at Kendal is salt-free by design. A herbal addition will more than make up for lack of salt and, best of all, our own garden- grown herbs are available without cost.
