A message from the Garden Committee tells us, “The herb garden is on our lovely terrace. The residents’ planter has the dragonfly hovering over the herbs as well as a black sign: “Herb Garden”.
Please enjoy the aromatic plants: Clip a variety of herbs to enhance your drinks and meals, or place in a vase. One resident discovered basil enhanced the flavor of his scrambled eggs.
Herbs available: basil, garlic and onion chives, lavender (not edible), marjoram, mint, oregano, two kinds of parsley, rosemary, sage, and two kinds of thyme.
We have two new additions donated by Len Andrew’s daughters: fennel and pineapple sage.”
Thanks to our Garden Committee are in order. They are making the Kendal experience tastier.
