On Wednesday, January 26, from 2 pm - 4 pm, the Art Committee will host a Calligraphy Workshop, headed by our own Shelley Robinson, in the Art Room. Participants will enjoy a relaxing winter afternoon of Calligraphy, the art or practice of beautiful handwriting.
The group will design a personal monogram, choose a favorite font and share a favorite saying or verse for italic practice on a greeting card or wall hanging. No experience is necessary and all materials will be provided by the Art Committee.
Shelley has enjoyed doodling with the alphabet her whole life and has studied calligraphy in London, New York and Castle Hill in Truro, Massachusetts. Her work is usually seen on posters, fliers or programs for good causes.
The class will be limited to six.
