The new Great Course to start the weekend of May 14 on KoH Channel 970 will be “The Great Trials of World History…And the Lessons They Teach Us”
This course will examine 24 of the greatest trials in history, from Socrates to O. J. Simpson.
We will see how societies have used trials to resolve key issues and decide the fates of evildoers, abusers of power, champions of free speech, and innocent people caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Led by Douglas O. Linder, J.D., Professor of Law, University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Law, the 24 lectures will be broadcast on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons, from 3 pm to 4 pm over Channel 970. Look for the schedule on page 1 of Spotlight next week.
