Fourth of July: The Show on the Terrace

Muriel Fox, chair of our July 4 event, has planned a lively program on the Terrace beginning at 5:30 pm. It will feature songs by the Kendal Singers, readings of the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, and a debate on “What Should Be the Next Amendment to the U.S. Constitution?”

Bob Kutscher will head a contingent of ushers to help us find seats under the tent.

Then, enjoy the Fireworks! Rita Benzer will lead KoH residents up the hill to Rockwood Hall at 8:30 pm on July 4 to view spectacular fireworks along the Hudson River.

Starting point will be the park entrance opposite Alida. Those who are sturdy enough to climb to the hilltop should bring a flashlight and something lightweight for seating. Others can watch from a variety of locations in our buildings. Posters listing these locations will appear on easels near the elevators.

Fireworks begin at 9pm.
