As we all know, our small Kendal community is part of bigger ones: Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. And now the Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow Community Food Pantry needs volunteers.
The pantry began as an initiative of the Kids’ Club of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow in December of 2009 as a way to address the issue of hunger within our communities. That one-time distribution of food has become a monthly event serving an average of 500 families each month.
