LOSS COMMITTEE

Loss Committee members assist families of Kendal residents in making preparations for, and act as ushers at, memorial services for deceased residents, conduct an annual memorial service for Kendal residents who have died during the preceding year, promote programs of interest concerning preparation for end-of-life care as well as presenting appropriate films to be shown and discussed, and facilitate several support groups.

At present, the only active support group is the Support Group for Parents and Grandparents of Special Needs Children which meets monthly to offer information and support for its members.

There are two additional, but currently inactive, support groups: one for sufferers of Parkinson’s Disease and one for Caregivers, which offers information and support for residents who are caregivers for  other Kendal residents.
