The Library Committee
LIBRARY COMMITTEE MISSION
The mission of the Library Committee is to maintain an excellent collection that reflects the preferences of Kendal on Hudson residents. The Library is always open for browsing and borrowing, and is staffed by resident volunteers. For more information contact Suzanne Adel or Sally Kellock.
Welcome to the Library Document
Our collection consists of:
a large selection of fiction, both classic and recently published
an extensive biography collection
non-fiction, arranged according to Dewey Decimal classification
large-print books, both fiction and non-fiction
books by Kendal authors
CD’s and audio books
books for children
We also have:
recent magazines
newspapers
a compilation of biographies of individual residents
past issues of Kendal View
publications of other Kendals
We have an ongoing arrangement with the Warner Library in Tarrytown which permits residents to reserve any book in the Westchester Library System, and have it delivered here at Kendal. Click here to view "How to Borrow from Warner Library and the Westchester County System" from the comfort of your Kendal on Hudson home. Click here to get right into the entire Westchester Library System to see all the books, videos, music, and other digital media they have and put a hold on anything you want.
The Library is bright and comfortable, allowing residents to read or browse in an area of interest.
