If there is one thing residents in the skilled nursing and memory support units love, it's having someone read interesting stories to them.
Doris Appleby has undertaken this program and is now looking for others to join in. She would welcome others who would like to become readers. She would also welcome ideas about which stories could be read.
Starting the week of Oct. 10, Story Reading will take place from 3:00 - 4:00 PM every week on Tuesdays in Adirondack and on Wednesdays in Sunnyside.
This activity takes a little effort but the response is enormous.
