On Wednesday, November 20, the Kendal Trips Committee will sponsor a trip to the William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation, Mt. Kisco. There will be a free tour of a modern and contemporary collection of 3,000+ paintings and sculptures by 225+ artists acquired by William Louis-Dreyfus (1932-2016), a billionaire businessman, lawyer, art collector, and poet.
Most works are by self-taught (outsider art) and emerging artists unfamiliar to Kendal residents, like James Castle and Bill Traylor. Residents who have not taken this tour before will have priority but there may be space for repeat visitors.
