Here’s something novel. Kendal is going to have an ice cream social.
If you didn’t know, The origin of ice-cream was an ice-cream-like food which was first eaten in China in 618-97 AD. King Tang of Shang, had 94 ice men who helped to make a dish of buffalo milk, flour and camphor. A kind of ice-cream was invented in China about 200 BC when a milk and rice mixture was frozen by packing it into snow. Today, the components are much better and probably better tasting.
It is well known that the ice cream at Kendal is one of its great treats. It comes all the way from Pennsylvania (Hershey’s Ice Cream - no relation to the chocolate people) .
This will be a rare treat where residents can meet and lick together (the ice cream that is).
It will take place on Wednesday, August 14 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Private Dining Room.
