If you have scheduled (elective) surgery coming up, which was arranged independently by you, please inform the Resident Care Center nurse at ext. 1032, so that any aftercare (meals, follow-ups, dressing changes, rehab in Clearwater) can be provided, if needed. It will also help the staff to “check in” and support you during your recuperation.
If you need an “emergency bag” or help with the one you have, please contact the Resident Care Center at ext. 1030 for assistance.
The dog days of summer are here! Please remember to remain hydrated by increasing your water intake. Avoid excessive, direct sun exposure (no more than 30 minutes), which can compound dehydration. Increased confusion can be a symptom of dehydration, and decreased thirst sensation is common in the elderly. So please remember to drink plenty of water, even if you aren’t thirsty.
