The Education Committee announced its course schedule for the next few months:
Tuesday, March 3, 10, 17, 24: “The Science of Climate Change”, with Paul E. Olsen, Storke Professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Columbia University. Learn about the facts, theories and science behind today’s major issue: Climate Change. From 1:30-3:30 pm in the Gathering Room.
Tuesday, April 7, 14, 21, 28: “Shakespeare-- Faking It”, with Yoel Magid, former literature professor at Rutgers and Ben-Gurion University. Learn about Shakespeare, actor/director/writer, as expressed in themes of deception, disguises, eavesdropping, role-playing, gender confusion and mistaken identities. From 1:30-3:30 pm in the Gathering Room.
Information on each course will be distributed in February and March. Tuition is $50 for a full course, $15 per individual session.
There are several places remaining in the “Understanding Buddhism” seminar to be led by Professor Marjorie Miller on Tuesday, February 4, 11, 18, 25 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in the Riverside Conference Room.
