Kendal has shredding options for its residents. It has nothing to do with cabbage!
However, for those who have lots of papers to shred, the Westchester County Mobile Shredder will be in Sleepy Hollow on Saturday, March 27 from 10 am -1pm.
The shredder will be in the parking lot across from Village Hall on Beekman Ave. They accept two big paper bags filled with papers —but be sure to remove paper clips and binders. Questions? Get in touch with Edith Litt.
For shredding at Kendal, there is a large shredder located in the copier room in the corner next to the double elevators on C-level where residents can shred their own documents (please remove paper clips and staples first).
Residents can also put papers in the large grey bin, just outside the copier room, which the shredding company picks up every other week. The bin is secure as no one at Kendal has keys.
If you have just a few sheets, there is also a small shredder on T-level near the swimming pool.
Sorry! There is no help for those who want to make coleslaw.
