Met Opera HD Live
The Trips Committee has obtained tickets to Saturday matinees of four Met Opera HD Live operas, and since tickets cost less than anticipated, tour leaders will give some money back to those who paid in advance.
The four productions are:
October 9 Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov;
October 23 Terence Blanchard’s Fire Shut Up in my Bones;
March 12 Richard Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos; May 21 Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor.
All have short waitlists.

Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, NJ, Wed., Oct. 13: With over 12,000 works of art by Native American and American artists, the permanent collection rotates every 18 months and features sculpture, works on paper, ceramics and artifacts. Special exhibitions are: “Transformed Objects Reimagined by American Artists” including “Twelve Cadillacs " by Andy Warhol; “By Our Own Hand”. sheets of handmade paper made from veterans’ uniforms inspired by ancient Tibetan prayer flags; “Color Riot!,” how color changed Navajo textiles; and George Inness, a local artist.
