A second trip has been added by the Trips Committee to the Frick Madison, New York City. It will take place on Thursday, February 24, departing at 9:30 am.
This second visit has been added to see the Frick’s Old Master paintings in new surroundings. For the first time, all art works are arranged chronologically and by region in separate galleries, including paintings by Bellini, Fragonard, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Vermeer, and Whistler.
French decorative arts, porcelain, Indian Mughal carpets, Limoges enamels, and clocks owned by Henry Clay Frick are also on display.
The Frick Madison is the former Met Breuer and the temporary home of the Frick Collection while the mansion on Fifth Avenue is being renovated and expanded.
A Note from the Trips Committee
A Message from the Trips Committee. The blue Trips Book has disappeared from the Activities Alcove. It contains sign-up sheets and documentation on venues to be visited, which is important for the orientation of residents interested in any of the trips.
The committee requests that the book be returned to the alcove without delay.
