There will be a Spring Art 2022 Workshop with two sessions: Friday, May 20 and 27 at 2 pm in the Art Room. Instructor: Erin Carney (Sleepy Hollow resident).
Drawing or Painting a Memory
This workshop explores personal narrative and memory in art. The instructor will guide participants through exercises designed to stimulate memory, generate images, and develop a visual vocabulary for use in creating a representational or abstract drawing or painting. Participants will have the option to use a three-tone charcoal technique, ink, or mixed media to develop their work.
Please bring an assortment of scrapbooks, photos, or personal memorabilia to prompt memories of a time you wish to explore in your drawing. We will not damage or use these materials in the artwork—they are for personal reference only.
