A Kendal lecture program will take place on Monday, May 16 at 7:30 pm, in the Gathering Room
“Touring Westchester: Historic Treasures in Our Own Backyard” will be presented by Patrick Raftery, Librarian and Assistant Director, Westchester County Historical Society
One of the most effective ways to tell Westchester Count’s rich and varied history is through the buildings and landscapes it has chosen to preserve.
On Monday evening Raftery will provide a glimpse of Westchester sites on the National Register of Historic Places that have some public access.
Raftery joined the Historical Society staff in 2006, earned his Master’s in Library and Information Science from LIU’s Palmer School in 2007, and became Librarian in 2011. The Historical Society Library holds the County’s largest collection of local history and genealogy.
You can take the tour from your seat in the Gathering Room. You’ll love it.
